Lifestraw is an affordable, portable filter that for only about $5, allows people access to clean drinking water for a whole year. It filters out over 99% of bacteria and viruses. Of all of the water on earth only 1% is drinkable. The rest is salty, frozen, or deep in the ground. More than 1 billion people on earth do not have access to clean drinking water. When I read the article about the need for clean drinking water and how it affects children, I wanted to help. Even though i am only in third grade, I have already helped a lot of people in the world.
